Referring to the correspondence noted in
Mr. A. G. M. Fletcher, Deputy Official Receiver,
Covernor to Secretary of) the margin, I have the honour to inform you that
State No.168 of 19th. June, 1908. 27200708. Secretary of State to Governor No.183 of 11th.August, 1908.

has appealed to me that the office of Official
Receiver should be separated from that of Land
Officer and that it should be placed in Class II.

When the creation of the post of Deputy
Official Receiver was under discussion I was at first disposed
to suggest such a course myself but after full consideration I
decided to recommend the present system on the grounds that it
would ensure two Officers being acquainted with the work either
of whom would be responsible for carrying it on in the absence
on leave of the other and thus prevent any complication arising.
The grounds for this decision still hold good. It was, moreover 1
understood
